During synchronization, e-mails can now be assigned directly to an account via Outlook category.
To do this, the e-mail must be assigned a category in Outlook prior to synchronization. This category must have the external ID of a customer in C4C as its name.
If the e-mail is then synchronized via drop-in, maiConnect searches for a customer with this external ID in the C4C. If the customer is found, the e-mail is synchronized and assigned to this customer. If no customer with the ID is found, maiConnect synchronizes the e-mail as before and assigns it to a contact person – based on the e-mail address of the sender (inbound) or recipient (inbound).
Please note: This feature only works for the e-mail synchronization – not for the synchronization of opportunities, leads, service tickets & quotes.
